Build the governed substrate
for the AI transition
We are a small, SDVOSB team solving frontier problems in sovereign AI infrastructure, alignment, and governance. If you want your work to matter at the intersection of AI safety and real-world deployment, you belong here.
Why Cliff Labs
Frontier Problem Space
Work on the hardest unsolved problems in trusted AI: action-layer safety, sovereign data meshes, autonomous reasoning substrates, and alignment guardrails. This is the frontier.
Real AI Infrastructure
Operate multi-tenant AI fleets, build governed inference fabrics, and architect systems where alignment is structural — not an afterthought. Patent-pending technology.
Direct Impact
Small team, big surface area. Every engineer shapes product direction, architecture, and company trajectory. No bureaucracy. The work is the mission.
Open Positions
AI Infrastructure Engineer
Design and build the sovereign AI agent mesh, governed inference fabric, and action-layer governance systems. You will work across the orchestration layer, knowledge graph, and compliance-native deployment stack.
- 3+ years building production AI/ML or distributed systems
- Python fluency; comfort with async, multi-process architectures
- Experience with LLM inference (vLLM, Ollama, or similar) preferred
- Interest in AI safety, alignment, and governance — these are core to the mission
- US citizenship required (federal posture work)
Full-Stack Engineer
Build the product surfaces, tooling, and APIs that expose the sovereign AI infrastructure stack to customers and operators. React, TypeScript, Python, and Node.js across compliance portal and agentic platform interfaces.
- 5+ years with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling
- Experience with Python or Node.js backend development
- Familiarity with GRC, compliance frameworks, or federal contracting is a plus
- US citizenship required for defense-related work
Federal Solutions Architect
Help federal agencies and defense contractors deploy sovereign AI infrastructure. Translate technical capabilities into customer solutions, lead pre-sales engineering, and guide compliance posture for FedRAMP-HIGH / DISA IL5 deployments.
- Experience with federal customers and government procurement (FAR/DFARS)
- Knowledge of FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST 800-171, or DISA IL5
- Strong communication skills for technical and executive audiences
- Active security clearance is a significant advantage
